OfficialĀ Adidas France home football shirt from the 1990/91 international season.

Condition of thisĀ original football jersey is 8/10 - Excellent, A couple of tiny holes on one sleeve (see photos).

In 1988, the French Football Federation opened the Clairefontaine National Football Institute. Its opening ceremony was attended by then-President of France, François Mitterrand.

Five months after Clairefontaine's opening, manager Henri MichelĀ was fired and was replaced by Michel Platini, who failed to get the team to theĀ 1990 FIFA World Cup. Platini did lead the team toĀ UEFA Euro 1992Ā and, despite going on a 19-match unbeaten streak prior to the competition, suffered elimination in the group stage.

A week after the completion of the tournament, Platini stepped down as manager and was replaced by his assistant Gérard Houllier.
