In theĀ 1992–93 season, Torino won their fifthĀ Coppa ItaliaĀ after defeatingĀ Roma,Ā however the club subsequently went through a period of severe economic difficulties. The club changed presidents and managers several times, but the results continued to worsen, and at the end of theĀ 1995–96 season, Torino were relegated for a third time.
