FĆŗtbol Club Barcelona's 2001-02 seasonĀ was to be the last but one under the guidance ofĀ Joan GaspartĀ as President and the single season of management byĀ Carles RexachĀ at Barcelona. It was also the first season after long-serving captainĀ Josep GuardiolaĀ moved on from the club. Veteran players likeĀ Sergi BarjuĆ”n,Ā Abelardo FernĆ”ndezĀ and the talismanicĀ RivaldoĀ would play their final years at the club beforeĀ a summer of change.
