Season 2001ā02Ā was a turbulent one forĀ Hibernian, as the team had three different permanentĀ managersĀ during the season.Ā Alex McLeishĀ left the club in December to manageĀ Rangers; Hibs surprisingly replaced him with star playerĀ Franck SauzĆ©e, who retired as a player when he was appointed manager. Sauzee's brief tenure saw a long winless run in theĀ SPLĀ and domestic cup defeats by RangersĀ andĀ Ayr United.
