OfficialĀ Adidas Glasgow Rangers away football shirt from the 2005/06 season.

The condition of this original football jersey is 8/10 - Excellent. A little wear to the hem at the front of the collar. Light wear to the manufacturer logo on the upper chest. Slight wear to the motif near the lower front hem (see photos).

TheĀ 2004–05 seasonĀ restored success to Rangers, who were boosted by signings such asĀ Jean-Alain Boumsong,Ā Dado PrÅ”oĀ andĀ Nacho Novo,Ā along with the return of formerĀ captainĀ Barry FergusonĀ after a spell in England withĀ Blackburn Rovers.Ā The club's league championship triumph culminated in a dramatic final-day finish.

The destination of theĀ trophyĀ changed unexpectedly, with Celtic conceding late goals toĀ MotherwellĀ atĀ Fir ParkĀ whilst Rangers led against Hibernian, requiring theĀ helicopterĀ carrying the SPL trophy to change direction and deliver the prize to theĀ Easter RoadĀ ground inĀ Leith.

Despite beginning as favourites to retain the championship, Rangers suffered an unprecedented run of poor results between September and November, a club-record run of ten games without a win. Included within this period, a 1–1 draw withĀ Inter MilanĀ took Rangers into the last 16 of the Champions League, the first Scottish team to achieve the feat since 1993,Ā the club eventually exiting on theĀ away goals ruleĀ toĀ Villarreal.Ā On 9 February 2006, it was announced by David Murray that McLeish would be standing down as manager at the end of that season.
