The 2006/07 season was the first season in which home matches were played at the over-60,000 capacityĀ Emirates Stadium; the club's former groundĀ HighburyĀ was to be redeveloped as aĀ residential development. Arsenal ended theirĀ Premier LeagueĀ campaign in fourth, level on points with third-placedĀ LiverpoolĀ but with a marginally lower goal difference.
