The condition of this original football jersey is 9/10 – Superb (see photos).

Brian Kerr was replaced byĀ Steve StauntonĀ (assisted byĀ Bobby RobsonĀ in the position of "international football consultant") in January 2006.Ā Under Staunton, results varied widely but the team still failed to qualify forĀ Euro 2008Ā and Staunton lost the position in October 2007. His reign included a humiliating 5–2 defeat toĀ CyprusĀ during theĀ qualifiers' Group D, one of the worst defeats in the team's history.

Giovanni TrapattoniĀ was appointed manager in February 2008 following a spell with assistant coachĀ Don GivensĀ in charge.Ā Trapattoni went through all ten first roundĀ 2010 World Cup qualifyingĀ games unbeaten, winning four of the ten games.Ā Ireland lost out on a place in theĀ finals, however, after a controversial, narrow loss to France in the play-offs.
