Official Adidas Liverpool away football shirt from the 2009/10 season. Complete with #18 on the back of the shirt in official Lextra Premier League numbering.

This is Adidas' superior Formotion version of the jersey, as worn by the players. It features a slimmer fitting design, Nylon manufacture logo on the chest, transfer material shoulder stripes, and 'Formotion' motif near the lower hem.

Condition of this original football jersey is 8/10 -Ā Excellent. Slight wear to the sponsor. Tiny wear to the 'Formotion' motif near the lower hemĀ (see photos).

Having finished second in theĀ previous league campaign, Liverpool qualified automatically for theĀ 2009–10 UEFA Champions LeagueĀ group stage for the first time since theĀ 2002–03 season. This season Liverpool made major moves in the transfer market, selling important players such asĀ Xabi AlonsoĀ andĀ Sami HyypiƤ, while signingĀ Alberto AquilaniĀ from RomaĀ andĀ Glen JohnsonĀ fromĀ Portsmouth.

After a season of poor results and inconsistent play, as well as injuries to main strikerĀ Fernando Torres, Liverpool finished 7th in the Premier League, their lowest finish in 11 years, and failed to progress beyond round 4 of either domestic cup. They were eliminated from theĀ League CupĀ at the hands ofĀ ArsenalĀ in theĀ Fourth RoundĀ in a 2–1 defeat at theĀ Emirates StadiumĀ on 26 October.

They were then knocked out of theĀ FA CupĀ on 13 January. After a 1–1 draw withĀ Championship teamĀ ReadingĀ at theĀ Madejski StadiumĀ in theĀ Third Round, Liverpool lost the replay at Anfield 2–1 after extra time.
