In their playoff game against Hungary, Iceland led 1–0 for nearly the entire match until Hungary scored two goals in under five minutes, the first coming in the 88th minute to stun Iceland and the second in the second minute of added time, proving to be the winner; Hungary had beaten Iceland 2–1.
