Their second success came in 2015, again defeating Ghana on penalties in Bata, Equatorial Guinea. The team represents both FIFA and Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The team had their best run between 2006 and 2015 when they qualified for three consecutiveĀ FIFA World CupsĀ and won theĀ 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
